Spring Night Comp -Tuesday evenings Sept-Dec

Hi Everyone,

The registration for Spring Night comp is now open, however please chat to your team / friends before you register and make sure you have at least 7 players willing to register! Initial registration will close on the 29th August and we must have 7 in a team to get the team registered. We can do late registrations after this date as long as we have the teams registered. 

This is a fun social comp and friends from other clubs or school are all welcome to play with Comets. Teams generally do not train and each team must have a Manager.

If you have a group of friends wanting to play together let me know so I make sure you are all placed in the same team.

If you have played day comp in 2024 for ERNA or another association then you won’t need to pay the insurance again however new players will need to pay NNSW insurance.


ERNA Fees- Junior 10-17 yrs in 2024 - $35.71 

ERNA Fees -Senior 18 + in 2024 - $43.83

Comets Fee- $65.17 ( 10yrs- Senior)

Senior NNSW for new players only -$75.51+ $4.49(Netball Australia)

Junior NNSW for new players only  -$57.51 + $4.49 (Netball Australia)

Registration Information  Spring Competition

 

  • The season will run on Tuesday evenings at Meadowbank Park over 2 or 3 timeslots (depending on the number of teams registered).
  • Teams will play at the same time each week.
  • The season will begin on Tuesday 17 September 2024 and finish on Tuesday 3 December 2024 with no matches played during the School Holidays (1 and 8 October).
  • Winners and runners up will be confirmed after the 10 rounds, there will be no finals series.

Grades

 

  • JUNIOR: Players 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17 years of age (in year of play). Up to three 10-year-old players may register in a team with 11s and 12s
  • SENIOR: Players wishing to play in a Senior Grade must be 14 years of age and over in the year of play.
  • MIXED: Players wishing to play in a Mixed Grade must be 16 years of age and over in the year of play.

 

Age Eligibility

  • Teams in Junior must not have players that are greater than three years older / younger than each other i.e. 11s can play with 12s and 13s but not 14s.  .
  • A Representative Player is a player who is selected into any ERNA Junior Representative team including a Development team.  No club shall have more than four (4) Representative Players from the current year in any one team.  An exemption can be made where the registered players have been in the same club team since U10s. Under this exemption, this team must play in a higher age group.

 

Specific Rules for Mixed Teams

 

  • Up to three (3) males per team may be on the court at any one time. Up to five (5) females per mixed team may be on the court at any one time. Both sexes must be represented in a mixed team at all times. A maximum of one (1) male per team may play in each goal circle.
  • Female players may play Senior/Junior and Mixed comp subject to them meeting age requirements. Female players registered in a Mixed team must also register in a Senior/Junior team if wishing to play in both.
