Wishing you a Merry Comet Christmas ...

posted December 16, 2012 by Debbie Frankenberg - viewed 416 times

Come Dasher, Come Dancer, Come Prancer, Come Vixen,

As Christmas comes closer the tree we’re a fixin’

Santa is preparing for a long arduous flight

Your children are looking forward to another Christmas Night.

But what should I buy my own little Comet?

A dress or a dolly or maybe a bonnet?

Get real Mums and Dads - your girl’s no baby

She’s going to learn how to drive her opponent … CRAZY!

So alter your Christmas list to reflect what she needs

New runners, a netball and a skipping rope please

Cos 2013 is the year we get serious.

That President of yours has gone real delirious!

We’re all about fun, learning to catch and to throw

And having her own netball is definitely the go.

A netball ring too is a really great idea

Please set it at 10 foot, oh best Daddy dear.

A flashy new uniform needs flashy new feet

So make sure those runners are cushioned … sweeeet!

Add practice and fun and a bunch of new skills

That’s sure to make 2013 full of wonderful thrills.

If you’re new to the Club and you’re wondering “why?”

The others will tell you without a word of a lie

That you’re about to embark on a year like no other

Because we’re all like one great big happy family … and it’s worth all the bother.

On behalf of your committee:

            Giulia Doyle – Vice President

            Susan Brownlow – Secretary

            Sharon Martin – Treasurer

            Danielle Blow – Registrar

            Joanne Power – Uniforms

            Janine Joannou – Umpires

            Nicole Conway – Coaches

            Peter Doyle – Equipment

it is my pleasure to wish you a safe, happy and loving Christmas from us to you.

To your committee … thank you for all your dedication from Presentation Day to now.  There have been some hard yards covered already and it’s been a great team effort.

I will be emailing an update this week.  I would be grateful if you would take the time to read it carefully when it arrives.

Debbie
