The CHEP Helping Hand initiative is a charitable giving and community support program run by CHEP Australia. Each year, CHEP awards a total of $50,000 in grants to not-for-profit activities or causes that support the broader community.
The Comets Committee were alerted to the CHEP Helping Hand program by Susanne Liang (mother of Sharron and Sandy Chen) who works at CHEP. Thank you Susanne for encouraging us to apply.
We are very excited to announce that our application was successful and we have been awarded a $1,000 grant from CHEP!
We will be using this grant to send our umpires and coaches to accreditation and development courses. Your committee has discussed at length how best to support and encourage our umpires and coaches and CHEP's grant will help bring our plans to fruition. Comets is only 4 years old and with the continued growth that we envisage in 2013 and beyond, the beneficiaries of this grant will be all our members - coaches, umpires and players.
Our sincere thanks to CHEP Australia for awarding this grant to our club – we truly appreciate your support.
