So ... be there or be square!
All players are to be there AT LEAST 30 minutes before game time please.
10am
13/2’s Court 3 vs NRRSL 23
Of the 3 competition matches this year, we have won 2 and drawn the other. This will be another tough game and I expect that NRRSL will throw everything they have at us. These girls trained well this week and now just need to stay focussed and put their strategies into play. Don’t let the nerves get to you. You have had a fabulous season and deserve to be there.
12/1’s Court 9 vs NRRSL 26
We are the only team to beat them in the past 2 years and we’ve done it twice in this competition. While that is a terrific result, NRRSL will come back fighting hard! This will be a tough game particularly since NRRSL are used to playing Grand Finals. So girls… business as usual … stay cool and play to win.
12pm
Cadet 6 Court 17 vs Alexanders 7
These teams have met 3 times this year with Alexanders winning twice. It’s time to even up the tally girls. Did I ever tell you that 17 is my lucky number (Court 17)? It would be great to see our 12’s and 13’s on the sideline to give these girls some encouragement. It is VERY exciting to see this team in a Grand Final again so let’s be there to help them WIN!
2pm
D Grade Court 24 vs New Stars
Talk about quiet achievers … I would bet my last $1 that New Stars never dreamt that they would meet you in the Grand Final, particularly when you finished in 4th position. You are the ONLY team to beat them and I’m all for consistency … so … let’s whip up a sideline (or 2) of purple and cheer this team to victory. You ladies are awesome role models for our club rising from 4th position to potential winners and … having seen you play … I feel sorry for New Stars!
As President ... all I want to say is …
GIRLS ... GO FORTH AND BE FABULOUS!
See you court side
Debbie
