Nominations for trials for ERNA’s 2013’s 11yo squads close this Saturday (21 July). I thought it might be useful to outline the procedure for our girls who will be trialling for next year’s 11yo squads.
To trial, you must pre-register your child on the nomination form that has been sent to parents of our girls born in 2002. Trial venue details are:
When: Sunday 12th August 2012
Where: Meadowbank Park
Time: 8.15 for an 8.30am start
Check in/ Skill Session and games in the morning
Lunch break
Selected players asked to stay on/final selections pm.
Conclude at 4.00pm (approx.)
It can be quite a long day for those asked to stay for final selections. All girls will need to take enough food and water for the entire day because the canteen is closed
If selected, training will not commence until Feb/March 2013. Training will be Wed evenings from 5-7pm at Brush Farm. The program runs for 13 weeks and the girls will attend 3 or 4 carnivals (Sundays) during that time.
In the 2012 State Age Championships, ERNA ranked in the top 3 Associations in NSW alongside Liverpool and Manly. These 3 Associations shared 1st and 2nd place in ages 12-15 with ERNA winning U15 and Runners Up in U14.
If you are a parent considering allowing your daughter to stand for selection and you have more questions, please email me on president@carlingfordcomets.com.au
Good luck and have fun!
Debbie
