Week 11 – Comets 9’s -v- DURC

A magnificent effort by this great little team produced another exciting 7-0 victory over a very good opposition with terrific team work being a consistent key factor in their success.

After 2 weeks off, the girls gave a hugely enthusiastic performance with Abbey and Alicia brilliant in attack, Bec and Marie creating a strong defence and two of the girls being real troopers by bravely playing on despite sickness for Carla and a finger injury for Mikayla.  It is very important to have that commitment to the team as it would really have given DURC a big advantage had they not played on.

Eliza from the 8’s was an outstanding asset to the team’s performance with her all round strong skills including goal shooting and we very much appreciated her filling in for us.

Marie was awarded Player of the Match for creating lots of space and very accurate throwing/catching.  Well done!!
