Week 10 - 15/1's

posted June 25, 2012 by Susan Brownlow - viewed 336 times

This week the 15's took on West Ryde Rovers. The girls are all starting to gel together nicely as a team and this week without Clarissa and Chantelle they all came out strongly and played their best. Sharron and Pei were working the goal circle nicely and landed some lovely goals from a distance. Lucy,Libby and Saira were moving beautifully around the mid court and our defence of Michaela and Jess were getting some great intercepts and rebounds. Unfortunately Jess rolled her ankle in the 3rd quarter and had to come off so Emily Brownlow filled in as GS and worked hard with Sharron to score for the Comets. Pei moved in to GK and earnt herself the MVP this week for some super Defence work. The Rovers Defence was strong and their shooting even stronger but the girls never gave up and played some great netball this week. Their "super coach" Angelique should be really proud!

This has been a tough season for the team in a very strong Div 1 and it is great to see their smiling faces giving it their best. Keep it up girls!!!
