Week 10 - 9 Wallabies -v- Carlingford Flames

posted June 23, 2012 by Colette Grundy - viewed 370 times

Another very exciting win of 9-5 with impressive goal shooting from all the girls.

Our worthy opposition made it hard for the 9’s to earn their points and team work was critical to keeping or regaining possession of the ball.

Jaz and Abbey were outstanding in attack and made some beautiful intercepts.

Bec and Carla created a very tight defence and stopped the Flames from scoring a number of times.

Kimberley’s accurate ball passing made a huge difference in turnovers for the Comets and Alicia’s “bottom catch” and goal was also very impressive J

A huge thanks to Caillin from the 8’s who filled in for us and chased every loose ball.  I am sure the score would have been very different without her there.

Congratulations to Kimberley for earning Player of the Match award and also farewell as she heads off to Bundanoon.  We will miss you and hope to see you back for a few more games before the end of the net ball season.
