Week 8 – 9 Wallabies -v- St Kevin’s

A hugely well deserved win of 17-0 for the 9’s this week as their confidence soars with their skills becoming stronger and putting into practice what they learn at training.

Jaz, Mikayla, Carla and Bec racked up the exciting goals on the score sheet due to the awesome teamwork displayed by all the girls, with Abbey, Marie and Alicia taking some lovely intercepts and chasing down the loose balls.

Our advantage over St Kevin’s was simply creating space in attack and sticking like glue in defence.

Luckily the girls did not have many rebounds from St Kevin’s shooters but in our own goal circle we still have a lot of work to do on jumping up for rebounds from our own attempts at shooting.

An outstanding performance from Jaz saw her earn Player of the Week for breaking for every centre pass and consistently looking for ways to get possession of the ball.

Congratulations girls, well done!!
