A2 - What a game!

The wind was howling so hard that when I got out of my chair, it blew onto the court. Our Number 1 team was playing the competition leaders. Big deal … just another game really … but was it? No!

You would have thought that our spectators were at a theme park riding a roller coaster …. Ooooooo …. Ahhhhh …… OHHHHHHH…… Yaayyyy …. Hahahahahaha! There was so much laughter, joy, excitement and fun. There were so many twists and turns in that game that even our opposition sideline were enjoying the thrill of it.

When shooting into the wind, Steph had to put the ball up 5 times before it finally went through. We all cheered and laughed because those five attempts typified the type of game it was.

This team is a fine example of how team spirit, tenacity, speed and skill come together to make for one heck of an exciting game! This team has talent and speed to burn!

I’m always proud of you … but girls … that was a cracker of a game and I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! Even though we lost by 1, coach Michelle and your supporters watched in awe of your sportsmanship and skill. You will get to play them in another couple of weeks and hopefully, there won’t be any wind!

Congratulations Michelle and girls … you were soooooooooooooo awesome! Big e-hug!
