Week 4 – Comets 18 vs Halos

posted May 11, 2019 by Elaine - viewed 125 times

We've seen a lot of improvement from our team since the season started. We've played some teams that have been playing together for a few years, so we know we have work to do. The girls are listening to coach Imogen to learn and improve on many skills needed for the game. We have a few more weeks before we start scoring officially.

There was good distribution of the ball from the defence down to our goal circle, and we definitely had more possession of the ball today. It was nice to see the continuous passing down the court when the girls moved into the spaces. The girls are improving their hunger for the ball, and also learning to move away from the opposition to get the pass. It's good to see the girls getting stronger with their passes and throwing further.

We had a goal from Imogen P, and a few attempts at the goal.

Please practice your catching, throwing, and shooting regularly so that when we train and play, we can work more on team activities.

Thank you to Judith who assisted with umpiring the game and teaching both teams.

Thank you to the parents for helping out on the sidelines and bringing fruit for after the game.

The BOC went to Niamh this week who played well in the midcourt.
